LEHF Music Academy
Following on from the outstanding success of music last year, 2025-2026 promises to be even more dynamic and exciting. Last year saw tremendous growth in music-making at LEHF, and the enthusiasm, commitment, passion and collaboration of many of our students led to the continued development of the music performance programme. As seen in the recent Summer Concerts, all of the established ensembles: the choirs, orchestra, string and wind ensembles, chamber groups, rock bands and percussion ensembles produced breath-taking and inspirational performances.
LEH Foshan now attracts many high-quality young musicians to the school, many students achieve distinctions in their ABRSM or Trinity performance or theory grade examinations. There are now two students who have passed their ABRSM or Trinity diplomas, in piano and drum kit, both with outstanding success. The Music Scholarship scheme is now in place.
We now have a team of some 18 visiting music teachers offering lessons in the piano, violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, clarinet, oboe, trombone, guitar (classical, electric and bass), drum kit, singing, and theory. Lessons take place during the school day (for students in years 2-8), or after school, or during the Saturday Music and Performing Arts Academy. Group piano and theory classes are offered on Saturday for beginners.
Music at LEHF is making strides towards the world-class quality of Music that exists in our sister school in the UK. We can assure you, dear parents of present or future LEH Foshan students, that learning music at our school will take your child along a journey of musical discovery, enjoyment, and excitement. We very much look forward to what can be achieved this year.
