Drama Workshops

Join our exciting Drama Workshop, crafted to inspire confidence, enhance performance skills, and ignite a passion for theatre! Guided by expert instructors, this engaging programme offers hands-on drama training and a chance to shine on stage—perfect for students aged 8-13! 

 

Introcution

When: Saturday mornings, 6th January to 28 March 2025 (excluding public holidays) 

Duration: 60 minutes per session, 9 sessions in total 

Cost: 200 RMB per session (1800 RMB in total) 

Who Can Join? Students aged 8-13: 

  • Prep Drama Workshop: Ages 8-10 (Year 4-6) 

  • KS3 Drama Workshop: Ages 11-13 (Key Stage 3) 

*Open to both LEHF and non-LEHF students.

Teacher of Drama

Mrs Zdislava Kingsley-Mills

Mrs Kingsley-Mills is a dedicated and qualified multi-lingual Drama teacher and practitioner with 4 years experience. Before joining LEH Foshan, she was teaching Drama at a school in the UK and serves as a GCSE Drama Visiting Examiner for Pearson Edexcel. Mrs Kingsley-Mills is passionate about helping students express themselves creatively and develop their confidence through drama. Her experience as a GCSE Drama Visiting Examiner has provided her with valuable insights into the standards and expectations of drama education at the secondary level.

Mrs Kingsley-Mills holds a First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Theatre and Drama from the University of South Wales, a PGCE from CTSN via the University of Greenwich, and a Master’s Degree in Psychology at Anglia Ruskin University. Her qualifications include a TEFL certificate from the Open University. 

Prep Drama Workshop (Ages 8-10)

Script Focus: TROLLED BY THE GRUFFS by D. M. Larson 

What You’ll Learn: 

  • Physical and vocal skills 

  • Characterisation and drama basics 

  • Script work and confidence building 

Highlight: Culminates in a mini performance! 

Note: Suitable for students with good English proficiency. 

KS3 Drama Workshop (Ages 11-13)

Script Focus: Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka& Physical Theatre 

What You’ll Learn: 

  • Creative techniques: lifts, chorus work, expressions 

  • Devising your own pieces 

Highlight: Experience contemporary theatre styles popular worldwide! 

Note: Intermediate English required.

Important Notes for All Participants 

Students must be in good health condition and are required to wear sportswear for all sessions, ready to engage in physical activities for the whole duration of the lessons.
