The Class of 2026 marks remarkable growth in number of graduates and university offers per graduate compared to last year’s. Up to now, our students has gained an impressive total of 82 offers from top universities across the UK, Australia, Europe and numerous other global destinations.
As the final instalment of our Student Profile series, this feature spotlights three outstanding students: Esther, Simon and Thomas, sharing their unique learning journeys, academic breakthroughs and heartfelt growth stories forged on our campus.
💡 Esther’s Journey
Esther joined LEH Foshan in Year 11 and has spent more than three years growing and learning on campus. Hailing from Hong Kong, she chose our international A Level pathway as it perfectly aligns with her long-term academic and career development plans. She was deeply impressed by the school’s spacious campus, beautiful environment and first-class facilities during her first visit.
⭐ Academic Path & Future Aspirations
Esther chooses Economics, Business, Mathematics and Further Mathematics for her A Level studies. Passionate about Business and Maths from a young age, she has always aimed for a business-related career. During her studies, she received consistent support from teachers, who offer personalised guidance and tailored progress support. Esther highly appreciates Mr Nelson, Head of Economics, who has taught her since Year 11. His relaxed and vivid teaching style effectively inspires students’ interest in learning.

She has received 5 offers from top UK universities, the University of Manchester stands out as her top choice, which perfectly matches her academic ability and personal development needs. 💡 Simon’s Journey
Simon has studied at LEH Foshan for three years. He joined our school after graduating from a local middle school. Choosing an international education pathway, he hoped to explore his personal strengths, talents and hobbies in a freer, more diverse learning environment. He was deeply attracted by LEH Foshan’s relaxed, interactive and supportive campus atmosphere from the very beginning.
⭐ Life & Growth at LEH Foshan
Simon chose Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry for his A Level studies. Fascinated by science from an early age, he admired scientists and gradually discovered his natural talent for Physics. With strong adaptability, he quickly immersed himself in rigorous A Level science learning.
He faced academic challenges in his early learning stage. Unfamiliar with exam focuses and question logic, he struggled to gain high marks at first. To improve, he carefully reviewed every exam paper, analysed key question keywords, searched online learning resources, and submitted his scripts to teachers for professional feedback. Following teachers’ advice on targeted practice, his grades improved steadily. His favourite teacher is Mr Stimson, Teacher of Mathematics. With an efficient teaching style and approachable personality, he focuses greatly on cultivating students’ independent learning abilities.
Outside academics, Simon has a rich range of hobbies, including singing, basketball, debate and drum kit playing, which have enriched his colourful campus life.

With outstanding science learning ability and clear self-positioning, Simon has secured 4 offers from prestigious UK universities. During his university life, he hopes to further sharpen his academic competitiveness in science disciplines and enrich his learning experience by participating in various subject competitions. Inspired by his sister’s career in nutritional product development and sales, Simon aims to pursue a future career in product research and development.

💡Thomas’s Journey
Thomas has studied at LEH Foshan for four years, joining our school in Year 10 from a local junior school. He is from Hong Kong and set foot on an international curriculum path with a clear plan to pursue overseas higher education in the future. On his first arrival, Thomas found the campus community warm and cheerful.
⭐ Life & Growth at LEH Foshan
Thomas chose Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at A Level. Fascinated by science from childhood via sci-fi books and films, he developed a lasting passion for chemistry. During his IGCSE years, he struggled repeatedly with poor chemistry grades and unclear knowledge points. By targeted drills, refining answering logic and consistent practice, his academic performance improved markedly.
Beyond academic progress, Thomas also gained huge personal transformation at school. Once quiet and introverted, he stepped out of his comfort zone to take part in diverse school activities, gradually growing into an open and confident person. Singing and playing the piano also fill his spare time and add colour to his campus life.

Thanks to persistent efforts in science subjects, Thomas has secured 5 university offers across the UK, all majoring in Chemical Engineering. Among all offers, the University of Edinburgh is his top preference. He chooses chemical engineering for his bachelor’s degree out of his solid interest and accumulated foundation in chemistry.

Thomas believes that independent thinking is the key to efficient learning. He encourages younger students to develop the good habit of sorting out mistakes in a timely manner in their studies.
