On 29 May, LEH Foshan proudly hosted its annual Prep Art Exhibition to celebrate a year of creative exploration and artistic growth. The immersive event showcased a curated collection of artworks crafted by Prep students across all grade levels, spanning drawings, collages, pop-art paintings, handmade crafts and 3D clay sculptures. The exhibition opened to great enthusiasm, attracting numerous parents who visited to admire their children’s creations. It was a heartwarming sight to see students guiding their families around the display areas, sharing their design concepts, creative processes and unique ideas behind every finished piece.
Curated from thematic art lessons, exhibited artworks across diverse mediums vividly demonstrate Prep students’ progressing aesthetic techniques, hands-on skills and creative thinking. Serving as a vibrant interactive platform for home-school communication, the exhibition offered students a precious chance to present their creations to parents, fostering their confidence and expressive ability while embodying our art education philosophy of inspiring fearless creation and self-expression
Beyond the brilliant exhibition, the Prep Art curriculum works closely in partnership with classroom teachers, ensuring that art projects align with key themes and learning areas within the Prep curriculum. In the 2025-2026 academic year, our art curriculum covers diverse art forms such as drawing, collage, clay modelling and street art for students across different grades.
From self-portrait creation and winter-themed crafts to Stone Age sculptures, Viking shield design and space futurism paintings, students have accessed diversified art resources and explored art in multiple cultural contexts. This collaborative approach creates a cohesive and engaging learning environment, allowing students to deepen their understanding by responding creatively through a variety of media.
More than simply teaching technical skills, our art programme prioritises nurturing students’ imagination, independent creativity and aesthetic literacy. We encourage children to observe the world from an artistic perspective, embrace trial and error during creation, and build resilience and confidence. By integrating art with history, culture and music, we break the boundaries of single subjects, help students develop all-round competencies, and empower every young artist to discover their unique potential and express themselves fearlessly.
