Annual London Residential Trip Concludes Successfully
From 23 May to 4 June, led by Ms Bateman, Head of the Prep School, students from Years 4 to 6 embarked on an unforgettable journey to the UK. The annual London residential trip is a tradition at LEH Foshan. Rooted in the profound partnership with our sister school LEH London, a prestigious centuries-old British institution, this overseas study tour embodies our holistic education philosophy. It extends classroom learning to the real world and nurtures students into globally-minded citizens with well-rounded capabilities.
The itinerary combined outdoor adventures, cultural experiences and cross-school exchanges. During outdoor challenges including abseiling, rock climbing and raft building, students stepped out of their comfort zones, supported one another and forged strong team spirit. They fully practised our 8C Values throughout the activities.
While exploring London, students visited iconic landmarks such as the London Eye and Tower Bridge, enjoyed dazzling West End musicals and tasted authentic British cuisine. These immersive experiences brought history, art and British culture vividly to life.
The visit to LEH London stood out as the highlight of the trip. Our students attended joint lessons and joined friendly rounders matches with local peers. Warm greetings in Mandarin from LEH London students built a solid bond between the two campuses and created lasting cross-cultural friendships.

Head of the Prep School
An overseas residential trip extends classroom learning by transforming abstract academic concepts into tangible, real-world experiences. In the classroom, students might study history, geography, and literature through textbooks and videos; overseas, they can walk through ancient ruins, navigate foreign cities, visit museums and cultural landmarks, and interact directly with local communities. This immersion deepens comprehension, improves language skills through authentic use, and develops critical thinking as students compare different ways of life. It also fosters adaptability, resilience, and problem-solving, skills rarely taught from a desk.
LEH Foshan continues this annual London residential trip as a vital tradition because it uniquely combines strengthening global ties with immersive cultural education. The visit to our sister school reinforces institutional identity, builds international friendships, and develops students' confidence and independence. Together, these experiences create a shared rite of passage that fosters cohort cohesion and transforms students into informed, culturally literate citizens of a global capital.
Committed to authentic British education and all-round development, LEH Foshan will keep leveraging our unique sister-school resources to create diverse experiential learning opportunities. We strive to help every student grow and thrive through exploration and challenges.
