Morning

Bright and Shine

The day starts bright and early with boarding students getting up at 7:00 am for breakfast and day students arriving on campus before 8:00 am, both eager to begin their day of learning.

Engaging Lessons

The first lesson of the day begins promptly at 8:20 am and there are four lessons in the morning with the last one finishing at 12:50 pm. Our highly qualified and experienced teachers provide engaging and dynamic lessons that challenge and inspire our students. They use a range of teaching methods and techniques to cater to the diverse learning styles and abilities of our students, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

#Communication

Languages Lessons: Formulate Impactful Expressions

Our Secondary School emphasises communication skills by offering English, Chinese, and Spanish curriculum. These languages are vital in promoting cross-cultural understanding and effective communication in a globalised world today. The language curriculum incorporates interactive activities, conversation practice, and multimedia resources to improve students' practical communication skills and formulate creative, confident and impactful expressions. By studying multiple languages, students are better equipped to navigate cross-cultural communications and build strong relationships, both personally and professionally.

#Craftsmanship

STEM Lessons: Pioneer the Future

STEM education highlights craftsmanship in addition to academic knowledge. Secondary students have access to state-of-the-art facilities to gain hands-on experience in Maths, Science (Biology, Physics, and Chemistry), Computer Science, Design and Technology. This approach allows students to develop not only their technical skills but also their craftsmanship, which involves attention to detail, precision, and creativity. They learn to approach problem-solving with a critical and creative mindset, resulting in innovative solutions to tackle future challenges.

#Compassion

Humanities Lessons: Engage in Local and Global Issues

Humanities include History, Geography, Economics and Business Studies. By studying these disciplines, students gain a deeper understanding of human experiences and perspectives as well as local and global society issues and develop the critical thinking skills necessary to address them. The lessons are also designed to inspire students to approach these subjects with a sense of compassion and empathy for the world around them. Through this approach, we are proud to inspire our students to be compassionate global citizens with a greater sense of understanding and care.

Humanities subjects offer various skills and knowledge that can translate to a wide range of future careers. For example, many lawyers have a background in History, as the subject develops critical thinking, analytical and research skills. Similarly, Geography can lead to careers in fields such as business, surveying, and environmental science, as it provides students with an understanding of the relationship between humans and their physical environment.

#Collaboration

Sports Lessons: Faster, Higher, Stronger – Together

Sports include Physical Education and Sports Science, the first one is for all year groups to enjoy whereas the latter one is more theory-based for senior students. Sports encourage collaboration, and that does not mean only cooperation and teamwork in a football game, but also the interconnectedness of the human body, like how muscles and body parts collaborate to create movement.

Breaktime Snacks & Lunch

Students enjoy a 30-minute break for snacks from 10:20 to 10:50 am to recharge before resuming their studies. Lunchtime is scheduled from 12:50 to 1:40 pm, allowing students to take a well-deserved break and refuel for the rest of the day.

To provide a healthy, nutritious and balanced meal for our students, LEH Foshan partners with Compass, the world's leading catering group, to make sure they have the nutrients and energy to perform at their very best.

Afternoon

More Engaging Lessons

After the lunchtime break, lessons resume at 1:40 pm.

#Creativity

Creative Arts Lessons: Unlock the Inner Artists

Students enjoy a range of Creative Arts subjects, including Drama, Music and Art. Through these lessons, students have the opportunity to explore their artistic passions, experiment with different forms of expression, and develop their own unique creative voices. Our state-of-the-art facilities and expert teachers provide students with the tools and guidance they need to develop their skills and unlock their full creative potential. Whether through visual arts, music, drama, our students are encouraged to think outside the box and push the boundaries of their imagination.

#Commitment

Life Skills and University Preparation

At our school, we instil a strong sense of commitment in our students by providing a comprehensive education that encompasses all aspects of their lives. Our Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education lessons are designed to help students develop social and emotional intelligence, make informed decisions for their future and build practical skills that will benefit them in adulthood. Our PSHE curriculum includes activities such as group projects, workshops, and experiments like the popular Egg Baby experiment, which fosters a sense of commitment to teamwork and responsibility.

Furthermore, when it's time to consider university, our expert team led by the Head of Sixth Form will offer students comprehensive guidance and resources to make this important decision.

#Curiosity

Various Extra-Curricular Activities

Every school day from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, students enjoy two one-hour long Extra-Curricular Activities (ECAs). Students are encouraged to choose a wide range of activities from Art (such as ceramics, print and textiles), Drama (LAMDA), Music (such as choir, individual instrument lessons and ensembles), Sports (such as Football, Basketball, Swimming, Water Polo) in addition to membership of clubs and societies, for example Model United Nations, Debate, Public Speaking and School Newspaper.
