Term 1 Highlights
Lots of changes occurred during Term 1 as Mr and Ms Jones were finally able to join us from the UK. Last term, our key focus was on ‘respect’, the students worked diligently discovering what the word meant and how to show respect within and outside of school.
A host of weekend activities began, introducing movie nights, game nights, and art and crafts evenings. The students have also enjoyed trips to the local mall and pleasant afternoon walks.
We have started to celebrate our birthdays! At the end of each month, we celebrate all of the student birthdays with a party at the end of the month with birthday cake, certificates, music, drinks, and snacks!
All of our students were given the opportunity to decorate baubles for our house Christmas tree, see below for their beautiful creations. The students all had a lot of fun at the Christmas Party. The younger students managed to beat Ms Jones at Jenga, the older ones set up their own balloon volleyball court. The pizza and cookies went down a storm and we are looking forward to many more events like this!
Term 2 Events
This term we will begin to focus on our 8C’s.
For the first four weeks before Chinese New Year, we will focus on Creativity. Upon our return, we will explore Compassion and end Term 2 with Curiosity. Activities include poetry workshop, growing plats, wetland trips, Chinese film afternoon and more.
