Welcome New Faculty!

Welcome New Faculty!

We are thrilled to announce that LEH Foshan is welcoming 20 exceptional new teachers to our esteemed school this year 2024-25. These educators bring with them a rich tapestry of experience and expertise, enhancing our already strong commitment to delivering an outstanding British education.

Mrs Jane Arden

Headteacher

We have carefully selected the very best educators to join our team this year. Each of these new teachers embodies the values and standards that define LEH Foshan. Their exceptional experience and dedication make them the perfect fit for our school. I have no doubt that they will play a pivotal role in guiding our students to excel and reach their highest potential.

Induction Week

Preparing for Success

This week saw our New Staff Induction Week, a comprehensive programme designed to familiarise our new teachers with the unique environment of LEH Foshan, our educational philosophy, and the vibrant local culture. The programme included a series of workshops and training sessions focused on our curriculum, teaching methodologies, and pastoral care, ensuring that every teacher is fully equipped to uphold the high standards of British education that our school is known for. Additionally, new staff had the opportunity to explore the local area and learn about its history and culture. This thorough induction process is crucial in helping our teachers feel confident and prepared as they embark on a new academic year with us.

Mr Jovanovic, Teacher of Art, shared that

I have worked in other international schools in China, but the induction week at LEH Foshan really made a difference. It provided me with a solid understanding of the standards and expectations in a British school, helping me feel well-prepared from the start. Plus, the art facilities here are very impressive.

Mr McMahon, Head of Design & Technology, reflected on his arrival, saying

Having travelled all the way from the UK with my family, we felt truly supported and welcomed into the LEH Foshan community during the induction week. The programme not only helped us settle in but also made us feel like valued members of the school from the very start.

Our Teachers

A Team of Excellence

At LEH Foshan, our teachers represent the pinnacle of educational excellence, combining extensive experience, diverse backgrounds, and a deep commitment to nurturing the potential of every student. Here are the key attributes that set our team apart:

100% British Leadership Team

Our entire leadership team is British, ensuring that the ethos and standards of British education are consistently upheld throughout the school. This leadership is instrumental in guiding our strategic direction and maintaining the quality of British education that LEH Foshan is renowned for.

100% UK Standard Qualified Teachers

Students are taught by our talented teachers, 90% of whom are British - in Prep School, all teachers are British; in the Secondary School, the majority of our teachers are British. However, all teachers must hold British teaching qualifications even if they were not born in the UK. This ensures that all students receive an immersive experience in British culture, values, and academic rigour. This high percentage of British educators ensures that our students are not only taught by experts in their fields but are also immersed in the nuances of British education that prepare them for success in global contexts.

Over 15 Years of Teaching Experience

Our staff boasts an average of over 15 years of teaching experience, a testament to their dedication and expertise. This wealth of experience allows our teachers to deliver lessons that are not only academically rigorous but also engaging and tailored to the individual needs of our students.

Diverse Backgrounds

Many of our educators have taught in both prestigious UK schools and international schools, bringing a rich variety of perspectives to our classrooms. This diversity enhances the learning environment, as teachers draw on their global experiences to make lessons more relevant and relatable to our international student body. It also allows them to incorporate best practices, offering our students a well-rounded and comprehensive education.

Academic Leadership

Some of our teachers have also served as international academic exam officers, further underscoring their expertise in delivering and assessing high-stakes examinations. Their experience in this capacity ensures that our students are well-prepared for international examinations and that the quality of our academic programmes meets global standards.
