LEH Foshan Summer Tech 2022

LEH International School Foshan in partnership with Trumptech is excited to launch Summer Tech 2022, a multi-activity week programme that features science, technology and art. It aims to maximise learning, adventure and fun for students aged 8 to 16 during this summer break. 

With various sessions involving STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), computer sciences, creative art, and sports, the Summer Tech 2022 is designed to provide a balanced course structured and developed to encourage students’ academic skills through a range of inspiring activities that are based on but go beyond the school curriculum.

Schedule

There are two sessions in Summer Tech 2022 and each session lasts for 2 weeks. (Lessons and activities are the same in each round). Students may choose either round 1 or round 2 based on their availability or family schedule.

Highlights

Students will participate in inspiring and practical science, programming, and art lessons; hands-on activities and experiments that will foster their interest in these disciplines and broaden their academic horizons.

The sessions will predominantly be delivered through the medium of English creating an immersive English speaking and learning environment which will improve students’ English skills in both academic activities and real-life situations, thus enabling them to become more confident communicators in English. 

 

The value of attending Summer Tech 2022 goes beyond the obvious academic benefits, helping students make new friends and develop valuable social skills through discussions, group projects, sports, and team activities. 

 

Two one-hour-long PE sessions will be offered each day for recreational purposes to help students unwind after studying and encourage a balanced lifestyle for them. 

 

Students can enjoy the high-quality campus facilities at LEH Foshan including the purpose-built classrooms, the fully equipped science labs, the multi-purpose sports hall and the swimming pool.

LEH Foshan invites some experienced teachers from our partner, Trumptech HK, one of the leading education technology companies in Hong Kong, to co-delivery the Summer Tech 2022.

• Many years of teaching experience in Chemistry and Science in renowned secondary schools in Hong Kong

• Former exam marker of Chemistry in HKEAA and HKCEE

• Over 10 years of teaching experience in international education

• BSc (Hons) Economics and Accounting, University of London, UK

• Master of Education, Sheffield University, UK

• Master of Science in Accounting, The Chinese University of Hong Kong

• Taught in the Bachelor of Education programme at the Open University of Hong Kong and the Department of Business at the International College of Hong Kong Baptist University

• Over 10 years of teaching experience in international education

 

 

Timetable

 

For Students Aged 8 – 12

In this programme, students will explore the hardware and programming software of LEGO® Education SPIKE Prime and learn to programme with Scratch, a graphical programming software. Students will start by studying the concept of computational thinking and learn to design some basic programmes to solve a few simple problems. As they progress, they will apply their STEM knowledge and use the LEGO® Education hardware (including building blocks, motors, and sensors) to solve a series of challenges with their creativity.

Besides programming, there are two sessions of PE, including Swimming, Basketball or Rugby, and one session of Creative Art. 

 

For Students Aged 13 – 16

In this programme, students will learn more about the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects aligned to the school curriculum. There will be hands-on practice and workshops so that students can apply and master the knowledge and theory they have learned during the lecture. These sessions are also designed with the aim to improve students’ teamwork skills, research skills, problem-solving skills, independent thinking, critical thinking and creativity.

1 Week	7,500 CNY
1 Round (2 Weeks)	14,000 CNY

Lunches and snacks are included in the fees. Please let us know if your child has any food allergies.

 

Registration

Please scan the QR code to register. Places are limited. Seats will be secured upon payment of the full fee. Parents will receive the Summer Tech Fee Bill via email.
