Individualised Learning and Immersive English-Speaking Environment

LEH Foshan helps students to achieve native-English speaking level by teaching all lessons in English (except Chinese and Spanish lessons) and with its English Language Learning (ELL) programme which develop students’ essential skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. The teacher student ratio is very low, and a class size is no more than 24 students. Each student benefits from a highly individualised learning plan, where each teacher has a firm knowledge of his or her student’s strengths and challenges.

Experienced and Accomplished Educators and School Leaders

LEH Foshan Headteacher 

Mrs Jane Arden has over 20 years’ experience in education, and prior to this role at LEH, she has spent over 5 years working at top international schools in China as founding Deputy Principal, Director of Teaching and Learning, Head of Academics and Head of English. Under her leadership, her schools achieved outstanding IGCSE and A level results. Jane has also worked as Assistant Principal examiner for AQA English language. Mrs Jane Arden studied at both Liverpool, John Moores University and Liverpool University where she was awarded a BA (Hons) in History, and a PGCE.   

 

LEH Head of Prep School 

Mrs Bateman is a well-experienced school educator and leader with 23 years of experience in the UK, Portugal, and Egypt. Her journey in education has been varied, starting as a class teacher, and working in many different educational settings. In 2009 she set up an independent school in the UK as the founding Headteacher and she has been in leadership roles, ever since. In her last position, Ms Bateman worked as a Headteacher of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Primary 6 form entry school at a well-regarded British International School in Cairo, Egypt. She holds a BA in Education from Staffordshire University, a PGCE from Edge Hill University and a MA SEN from Education Cambridge UK.

LEH Foshan works with expert nutritionists from Compass, a world leading catering group, and designs and delivers daily dishes using recommended nutritional standards. Nutrition labels are carefully checked to ensure students and staff receive the right amount of protein, carbohydrates and vitamins they need in their daily diet. The menu varies on daily basis to offer fresh, balanced and diverse meals which represent one of the highlights of our school day.
