Boarding & Day School
Boarding students develop a new level of independence, resilience and confidence. As well as benefiting from a full timetable of academic subjects, they also enjoy a strong programme of extra-curricular activities and teacher-supervised "Prep" (time in the evening for homework).
Boarding will enable secondary students to make the best use of the wonderful space and facilities that LEH Foshan offers. Students will develop communication skills and initiative alongside a strong sense of community as they live and work with their classmates, developing strong friendships that will last well beyond school.
When students join LEH Foshan, they will share an ensuite room with students of the same age. The modern design of the rooms will ensure they have privacy, space to work individually or collaboratively, while providing the support and facilities to ensure the students need only focus upon their learning.
Common Rooms in each House will ensure students have space to relax and socialise in their free time and will help integrate students and develop House spirit. While 3 meals a day will be provided in the Dining Hall, kitchenettes will allow students to make hot drinks and snacks at other times.
Our boarding houses provide students with long-term stability and a friendly environment that becomes for the students a home away from home. Each house has a Housemaster or Housemistress who has overall responsibility for the students in their house. The Housemaster or Housemistress live in accommodation attached to their boarding house, many with families of their own, and are assisted by an Assistant Housemaster or Housemistress and a team of tutors who will be a member of the teaching staff.
There is always a member of staff on duty in each boarding house, who is clearly visible and easily accessible to the students. They supervise their prep, eat meals with them and socialise in the boarding house. This helps to build up the respect and trust of students, so that they feel able to consult and confide in staff.
In addition, each boarding house has a Matron who looks after laundry and cleanliness. The Matron is someone the students can talk to and seek advice from, and also deals with day-to-day medical issues, supported by our Health Centre, which is staffed 24-hours a day with a team of trained nurses.
The supportive ‘House’ environment, the wealth of activities, regular exercise, good diet and sleep, top quality medical care and a consistent focus upon our values, combined with the experience of our staff and expert guidance from LEH UK will help us to achieve joyfulness and well-being.
Termly and weekly boarding is available, with pick-up from convenient hubs such as from the Foshan-Guangzhou metro and Guangzhounan Station.
